“Metrosexual” – wow, haven’t heard that one in quite some time. I never considered how the nuances in the way that characters act in reality shows is indicative of what we all crave as individuals given what’s going on in society. I remember the really horrid things Simon would say. We loved that shit. But if he said that nowadays, people would hate him with no love aspect to that relationship. And I think it’s a time where people are starting to realize that there’s more to seeing their self-loathing being depicted in someone else on TV; self-improvement, creating change, and being aware is where we’re at now.

At least for most of us.
