Wine lover here!
This article definitely got me thinking. Wine, in terms of packaging and production, held onto its romantic, traditional ways pretty well for a product that’s complex and expensive to manufacture.
It’s hard to fathom finding a good wine that comes in cans or packs. I definitely see them, though I try to avoid that kind unless I’m planning an outdoor activity.
But the last stat you brought up, about how 4/10 people consuming wine currently, that’s the answer. As you said, people love craft beers. If wine could be marketed in such a way, these new wine drinkers wouldn’t care about the type of packaging or how it was created. They would probably even love the idea that it was created without grapes.
Great article!
